Hier hingegen werden für einen breiteren Leserkreis stastische Begriffe wie z.B. Häufigkeitsverteilungen, Lagemaße, Streuungsmaße, Korrelationen, statistische Interferenz, Siginifikanz, Reliabilität ohne Rückgriffe auf mathematische Methoden und Formeln erklärt. Der Schwerpunkt des Buches liegt auf der Darstellung der Datengewinnung und den Schlußfolgerungen, die aufgrund der Daten gezogen werden können. Anwendungsbeispiele aus den Sozialwissenschaften ergänzen jedes Kapitel.
