Description: The final ratio equation of an isotopic element in a rock, derived from water/rock formula of McCulloch et al. Earth Planet Sci Lett 46:201-211, 1980, McCulloch et al. J Geophys Res 86:B4 2721-2735, 1981 is used to assess the behavior of diverse suites of rocks towards the alteration effect, and what implications can give about hydrothermal alteration in terms of isotopic compositions. Due to their higher Sr and lower Nd initial ratios than seawater, rocks of metamorphic and sedimentary signatures such as carbonates and Precambrian basement rocks show similar but inverse mixing curves compared with igneous rocks. Sr composition of rocks immediately alters by seawater, while Nd composition keeps unchanged until large volumes of water are added. Although, this can be attributed to the very low Nd concentration in seawater, it indicates that Nd-exchange may only take place under seawater, possibly hydrothermally by circulated seawater, and Nd-concentration of less altered crustal rocks are apparently primary. The isotopic composition and rock mineralogy seem to be the main factors controlling the volume of water required to cause isotopic alteration in rocks. Crustal rocks require higher water volumes due to their relatively low temperature minerals, whereas, mantle peridotites mainly consist of residual olivine minerals that are highly susceptible to alteration and lack of Sr and Nd compositions, and so need less amount of water for metasomatism. This property reduces the limited penetration effect as the mafic affinity increases at depth in the oceanic crust, and enables modified (probably acidified) circulated fluids to maintain ion exchanging and leaching throughout their passageway.

Description: The Crush procedure is a 2-stent technique for treatment of bifurcation lesions with higher rates of in-stent restenosis when compared to the Culotte technique. In conclusion, we report a possible mechanism for this discrepancy in a case of severe Crush stent fracture with associated focal restenosis identified by post-mortem micro-computed tomography and histology.

Description: In this work, a proposed pilot plant has been designed to produce 1 ton h −1 biodiesel (BD) from waste/used vegetable oil using enzymatic approach. Complete material and energy balances were carried out using Excel spreadsheets, and detailed equipment sizing were determined. Immobilized lipase (Novozyme 435) is used as a catalyst in a packed bed bioreactor. The effluent of the reactor is passed though a Liquid–liquid extractor to separate the BD from other components. This is followed by a flash dram and a vacuum distillation column for further purification of the product. In addition, an economic feasibility of this process was assessed. The amount of feed streams of waste oil, methanol and tert-butanol required were found to be 1138, 130 and 7.6 kg h −1, respectively. The main units in the proposed plant were designed and the economic feasibility of the process was assessed. It was found that the total capital investment required is about US$ 620,000, which will be paid back within four years of operation.

Description: The conflict of trawl has been occurring for long time in Aceh.  Using trawl is not only illegal but also resulted in a decrease of catcher number got by fishermen in the place. This article aims to explain the conflict in Lhok Meureubo in relation to the legal ban of the usage of trawl, the conflict settlement process, as well as the steps taken by the Government of West Aceh district in anticipating its usage in the future. The methods applied include normative and empirical research. The normative research is done through legal materials. While the empirical one is conducted by interviewing a sample of purposively selected sample. The conflict in Lhok Meureubo is due to the use of trawling gear, it has been happening since 2003. The conflicts come up by the use of trawl types that are not environmentally friendly. The use of such fishery catcher has been taking time for a long time, but after the tsunami, the use of mini-trawling increasingly from a variety of aid for tsunami victims. The steps taken by the Government of West Aceh district to overcome the problem in the future, is especially by replacing the trawl gear with the one that is more environmentally friendly. The fishermen who use the trawl which the boat already registered is then reported to the Department of Marine and Fisheries of West Aceh district to get the trawl replaced by environmentally friendly trawl.  A Settlement Model of Trawl Conflict in West Aceh

Description: In social life, the law has many functions. In this case the law became a tool in resolving the conflict in Aceh. The conflict in Aceh has long occurred. Several rounds of dialogue has been conducted, but has not achieved satisfactory results. Dialogue after the tsunami last December 26, 2004, facilitated the Crisis Management Institute (CMI), the conflicting parties and the Government of the Free Aceh Movement reached a peace agreement. In peace, produced a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in Helsinki on August 15, 2005, in which the MoU is to be hold in drafting a legislation for Aceh, which was then named the Law Number 11 Year 2006 on the Government of Aceh.  Legal Form for Aceh Peace

Description: ABSTRAK. Reconciliation Based Local Wisdom in Aceh   ABSTRACT. Local wisdom is not something new to construct and execute the law. This article would like to offer the concept of local wisdom in the settlement of human rights violations to find justice. Cases of human rights that have occurred in Aceh has a chance for its completion. But there is one important thing to keep in mind, that the business settlement of past human rights violations in Aceh is not just a legal issue, but also human rights, politics, and policy. The choice of the establishment of committees/ special body with the president's policies, can be done in the context of the open space of the truth, or the process of speeding up the settlement of human rights violations. In the experience of some countries, disclosure of the truth is not infrequently done based on the policy of the presidency.

Description: This article explores the thought of a local Sufism, Panglima Utar (Mukhtar bin Abdurrahim), originated from West Kotawaringin, Central Kalimantan. It focuses on the only manuscript written by him. The manuscript gives valuable information about the continuity of his thought and the established teaching of mysticism in Kalimantan since the 17th and 18th century. In this manuscript, he explains the position of a teacher towards sâlik, the form of wirid and dzikir (praying words), the final purpose as well as the teaching about how to understand Allah (ma‘rifah Allâh). The mysticism thoughts have a significant intellectual and spiritual line. The teachings found in Panglima Utar’s manuscript clearly shows that they are on the mainstream of mysticism thoughts in Indonesian archipelago.

Description: Curriculum is one of the important elements in education. Thereof, ideally, any educational institution develops curricula based on the need to follow the principle in relevance to the circumstances and needs of the community. To meet the needs, there are three modern patterns in organizing the curriculum; (Separated Subject Curriculum, Correlated Curriculum, and Integrated Curriculum) become a minimal patron for the educational stakeholder in managing the curriculum. However, there are some aspects which must be considered as the strength and the weaknesses. Besides, it is in line with the pattern applied to ensure that the curriculum is also accompanied by competent teachers in applying the curriculum. As it is seen from the patter’s perspective are still be found some weakness such as Correlated Curriculum, Integrated Curriculum. This model requires that a eacher is able to connect and combine and integrate among one subject with other subjects.

Description: This article focuses on humanistic learning at an Islamic private school in Aceh. It uses qualitative descriptive method and takes seven subjects as the sample of the data. It shows that the humanistic learning in Darul Aman Private Madrasah Aliyah of Aceh Besar was implemented through three mechanisms. First, creating a humanist class situation, both physical and non-physical environment (socio-emotional), through a democratic approach. Second, employing a cooperative learning model as the basis of humanistic learning. Third, adopting an effective communication model in creating humanistic learning interactions. This involves cycle-models of communication and interaction of learning: one direction interaction (teacher-student), teacher-learners-learners (their feedback for teachers; students learn from each other) and multi-interaction of the teacher-learner, learner-teacher, learners-learners (interaction in many directions). The implementation of humanistic learning at Darul Aman Private Madrasah Aliyah of Aceh Besar had a problem in the form of limited instructional media resources. Nevertheless, the overall learning process was humanist. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.20414/ujis.v21i1.1161
