Englisches Märchen für Sprecher und Orchester: Der arme Jack tauscht die einzige Kuh gegen 5 Bohnenkerne. Am nächsten Morgen ist die Bohnenranke bis in den Himmel gewachsen. Jack klettert hinauf und als er dem Riesen die goldene Harfe stehlen will, kommt es beinahe zur Katastrophe. Ab 5.

Für sein neues Orchestermärchen hat A. Tarkmann (vgl. "Na warte, sagte Schwarte", IN-G 26/13) auf ein bei uns kaum bekanntes englisches Märchen zurückgegriffen. Es handelt von dem armen Jack, der die einzige Kuh gegen 5 Bohnenkerne eintauscht. Am nächsten Morgen ist die Bohnenranke bis in den Himmel gewachsen. 3 x klettert er hinauf und stiehlt dem menschenfressenden Riesen erst ein paar Goldmünzen, dann ein Huhn, das goldene Eier legt. Als er dem Riesen auch noch eine goldene Harfe stehlen will, passiert es: Der Riese verfolgt ihn bis auf die Erde, in letzter Sekunde kann Jack die Bohnenranke abhacken und der Riese stürzt zu Tode. A. Tarkmann hat dieses Geschehen sehr bildhaft vertont, mit eingängigen Melodien vom englischen Volkslied bis zur dramatischen Zuspitzung und mit charakteristischen Klangfarben, die den Zugang zur Musik erleichtern. Und wie M. Arkona als Sprecher in die verschiedenen Rollen schlüpft, ist einfach großartiges Kino für die Ohren. Das Bonusmaterial der CD enthält ein aufschlussreiches Gespräch, das Schüler mit dem Dirigenten und mit M. Arkona geführt haben. Sehr gerne empfohlen. Bettina Prior-Kamer
