    Content: Zahlreiche akustische Signale, die von einem Männchen der Peloridiidae-Art Oiophysa cumberi erzeugt wurden, das sich zusammen mit einem Weibchen in einem Gefäß befand.
    Content: Multiple calls produced by a male of the Peloridiidae-species Oiophysa cumberi that was sitting in the same vial with a female of that species.
    Note: Recorded at room temperature on 12.02.2013, ca. 12:44-13:44 in Berlin, Germany; in the dark acoustics chamber (a separate soundproof compartment) with the door open (closed door seemed to cause a rise in the ambient temperature). Polytec PDV100 vibrometer and a Roland digital recorder (sampling rate: 44100 Hz, bit depth: 16 bit), settings: Velo = 20, LP = 5, HP = Y. Male and female, collected by George Gibbs in Tararua Forest Park (North Island, New Zealand) in January 2013. Specimens kept in a small (ca. 7x7x4 cm) closed plastic dish on a mixture of their native mosses (mostly Ptychomnion aciculare) and a little of the fresh Bryum bicolor from Berlin; mosses were wet. The vibrometer laser beam was sent through the plastic lid of the dish and reflected from a piece of a foil glued to the moss plant where the specimens were sitting.

    Content: Zwei Individuen der Peloridiidae-Art Peloridium hammoniorum, ein Männchen und ein weiteres Tier, dessen Geschlecht unklar ist. Das Männchen "reitet" auf dem anderen Tier und produziert akustische (Vibrations-) Signale; das Video zeigt deutlich die Bewegungen des Abdomens, bei denen die Signale allem Anschein nach entstehen.
    Content: Two specimens of the Peloridiidae species Peloridium hammoniorum, a male and another one whose sex is not clear. The male is mounted on the other specimen and is producing acoustic (vibraitonal) signals; the video shows clearly the movements of the abdomen that obviously generate the signals.
    Note: Recorded together with Jürgen Deckert on 27.02.2014 at 14:55 in Berlin, Germany; Canon E0S 400D camera, MP-E 65mm lense; cold light source; room temperature. Several Chilean specimens of P. hammoniorum on their native moss Polytrichadelphus magellanus. A male on the right is mounted on another specimen (sex unclear) and producing vibrational signals; the vibration of the abdomen is clearly visible.

The vibrometer laser beam was sent through the plastic lid of the dish and reflected from a piece of a foil glued to the moss plant where the specimens were sitting.
