    Description: The present paper deals with invariance of nonatomic measures defined on effect algebras. Firstly, it is proved that if μ is a nonatomic and continuous probability measure defined on a σ -complete effect algebra L , then it satisfies para-Darboux property. Then, the invariance between continuous probability measures m and μ defined on a σ -complete effect algebra L is established when μ is nonatomic satisfying para-Darboux property on L .

    Description: Almost every industry nowadays is badly affected by attrition. Retention of talented employees is the biggest problem faced by India Incorporation. In order to gather more insights on the talent crunch, the undertaken study was conducted on technical and non-technical jobs in manufacturing sector in Delhi NCR. Research has identified three major factors – Salary, Boss and Stress in the jobs after conducted interviews with around 50 technical and non-technical respondents. A set of questions were prepared and send to 120 employee but only 75 responded. The study shows a strong relationship between type of job and factors of attrition. Chi-square test clearly states strong relationship among two. Thus, any change in one will affect the other also. At the same time other important outcomes were that for technical jobs salary is the most important factor whereas non-technical Boss is the factor. Out 75, 63 were engineer and rest were non-engineer. The research can be further done to understand factors of attrition with other demographic variable.

    Description: This paper examined the relationship between HRM practices and organizational culture in private sector organizations operating in India. Organizational culture has developed in the Indian environment along with global work values. This study is based on a survey of 95 respondents working in two private sector organizations. Although the HRM practices in these organizations differ a lot, there is a significant relationship between HRM practices and organizational culture.

    Description: Mine water samples collected from the East Bokaro coalfield were analysed to assess suitability for domestic, irrigation, and industrial purposes. The pH of the samples ranged from 6.78 to 8.11 in the pre-monsoon season, 5.89–8.51 during the monsoon season, and 6.95–8.48 in the post-monsoon season. The anion chemistry was dominated by HCO 3 − and SO 4 2− , with minor amounts of Cl − , NO 3 − and F − . The Fe concentrations exceeded the maximum permissible limit of the BIS drinking water standard in about 44% of the collected samples. Turbidity, TDS, Fe, total hardness (TH), SO 4 2− , and Mg 2+ also sometimes exceeded drinking water limits. The TDS, TH and SO 4 2− concentrations of the mine water makes it unsuitable for domestic purposes or for industrial use; high values of %Na, SAR, RSC, and Mg-hazard at certain sites restrict its suitability for agricultural use. Grubenwasserproben aus dem East Bokaro Kohlenrevier wurden analysiert, um die Verwendbarkeit zur öffentlichen Wasserversorgung, zur Bewässerung und für industrielle Zwecke zu beurteilen. Der pH-Wert der Proben lag vor der Monsunzeit zwischen 6,78 und 8,11, während der Monsunzeit zwischen 5,89 und 8,51 und nach der Monsunzeit zwischen 6,95 und 8,48. Die Anionenchemie mit untergeordneten Anteilen von Cl-, NO 3 - und F- war von HCO 3 - und SO 4 -- dominiert. Die Eisenkonzentration überschritt den maximal zulässigen Grenzwert der nationalen indischen Trinkwassernorm bei 44% der gezogenen Proben. Trübung, Filtrattrockenrückstand (TDS), Fe, Gesamthärte, SO4-- und Mg++ überschritten ebenfalls manchmal die Trinkwassergrenzwerte. Der Filtrattrockenrückstand, die Gesamthärte und die SO4-- Konzentrationen des Grubenwassers schließen eine Verwendung zur Trinkwasserversorgung und für industrielle Zwecke aus. Die hohen Werte von Natrium, des Natrium-Adsorptionswerts (SAR), des Natriumkarbonatrückstands (RSC) und das Magnesiumrisiko an einigen Stellen schränken die Verwendbarkeit für Bewässerungszwecke ein. 文章取样、分析和评价了印度East Bokaro煤田水的生活、灌溉和工业用水适用性。水样pH值在季风之前为6.78-8.11,季风期间为5.89-8.51,季风之后为6.95-8.48。主要阴离子为HCO 3 - 和SO 4 2- ,次要阴离子为Cl - 、NO 3 - 和F - 。44%水样的Fe浓度超过BIS饮用水标准上限。浊度、TDS、Fe、总厚度、SO 4 2- 和Mg 2+ 有时也会超过饮用水标准。矿井水的溶解总固体(TDS)、总硬度(TH)和SO 4 2- 浓度使其不适于作生活或工业用水,局部较高的%Na、SAR、RSC和Mg-hazard杝限制了其农业用水适用性 Se analizaron muestras de agua de mina colectados en el campo de carbón East Bokaro para relevar su aptitud para su uso doméstico, riego y propósitos industriales. El pH de las muestras se encontró en el rango de de 6,78-8,11 en la estación premonsónica, 5,89-8,51 en la estación monsónica y 6,95-8,48 en la estación postmonsónica. La química de aniones fue dominada por HCO3- y SO42-, con cantidades menores de Cl-, NO3- y F-. Las concentraciones de Fe superaron los límites máximos permitidos por BIS para agua de consumo en aproximadamente 44% de las muestras. La turbidez, TDS, Fe, dureza total (TH), SO42 y Mg2+ excedieron en algunos casos los límites permitidos para agua de consumo. La TDS, TH y las concentraciones de SO42- del agua de mina hacen inadecuado su uso para propósitos domésticos o para su uso industrial; altos valores de %Na, SAR, RSC y riesgo de Mg en ciertos lugares restringen su aptitud para su uso en agricultura en ciertos lugares.

    Description: Stlačitelnost tkanin je pokles skutečné tloušťky s odpovídajícím zvýšením tlaku. Stlačitelnosti froté tkaniny závisí na vlastnostech vláken, parametrech příze, parametrech tkaní, délce smyčky, hustotě smyčky, geometrii smyčky a úpravách po tkaní. V popsaném výzkumu jsou studovány všechny faktory, které se na stlačitelnosti tkaniny podílejí. Bylo zjištěno, že hustota smyčky, délka smyčky, tvar smyčky, zákrut příze, jemnost vlasu, délka vlákna a jemnost příze mají významný vliv na chování komprese froté tkaniny. S nárůstem faktoru tvaru smyčky, délky a hustoty smyčky, se linearita kompresní křivky se zvyšování odolnosti a konkrétní kompresní energie snižuje, což svědčí o tom, že látka se na dotek zjemňuje.

    Description: We show that when k ≠ 2, 4, 8 the Euler class of any vector bundle over Σ k ℝℙ m is zero if the rank of the bundle is not m + k , provided that m ≠ 3 when k = 6. If k = 2, 4, 8 we show that the Euler class of any vector bundle over Σ k ℝℙ m is zero whenever the rank of the bundle is not kr + k , provided that m ≠ 6, 7 when k = 2, where r is the largest integer such that kr ≤ m .

    Description: Expansive soils cover more than twenty-two percent of geographical area of India. These soils shrink and swell, respectively, with the decrease and the increase in water content of soil. In this study, experimental tests were conducted on an expansive soil to study the effect of mixing of potassium chloride on various soil properties. Liquid limit, swelling potential and plasticity index were found to be reduced significantly with mixing of potassium chloride. Initially, for potassium chloride of 6-8%, plastic limit has also been reduced but latter, it increased with the increase in quantity of potassium chloride. Mixing of potassium chloride increases and decreases, the maximum dry density and optimum moisture content, respectively. The mixing of potassium chloride increases the unconfined compressive strength and shrinkage limit of soil. Optimum amount of potassium chloride is found to be approximately 8-9% of dry soil weight. Potassium chloride altered the properties of expansive soil significantly, and most of the modifications are found to be favourable from civil engineers’ point of view. Results of the present study are compared with previous study results too.

    Description: In this study, analytical models for predicting groundwater contamination in isotropic and homogeneous porous formations are derived. The impact of dispersion and diffusion coefficients is included in the solution of the advection-dispersion equation (ADE), subjected to transient (time-dependent) boundary conditions at the origin. A retardation factor and zero-order production terms are included in the ADE. Analytical solutions are obtained using the Laplace Integral Transform Technique (LITT) and the concept of linear isotherm. For illustration, analytical solutions for linearly space- and time-dependent hydrodynamic dispersion coefficients along with molecular diffusion coefficients are presented. Analytical solutions are explored for the Peclet number. Numerical solutions are obtained by explicit finite difference methods and are compared with analytical solutions. Numerical results are analysed for different types of geological porous formations i.e., aquifer and aquitard. The accuracy of results is evaluated by the root mean square error (RMSE).

    Description: Work culture has the potential to enhance managerial performance. The objective of the present study is to examine the dominant work culture prevalent in the two private sector manufacturing organizations X and Y and to study its impact on the contextual performance and motivation level of the employees at the middle management level. The statistical tools used to test the hypothesis were the mean, standard deviation, t-test, correlation, one-way ANOVA, and regression. The findings show that the technocratic culture has the strongest partial correlation or the purest relationship with role motivation. Through a regression analysis, the technocratic culture emerges as a strong predictor of motivation while the entrepreneurial culture as a strong predictor for performance. The findings imply that when individuals are satisfied with their roles and feel that their supervisor or leader provides them with support, their contextual performance is expected to increase.
