Kurzfassung:
Considering the generic hybridity of Joy Sorman’s literary project in À la Folie , this paper aims to delineate the stages of the author’s poetics, which is rooted in the multiplicity of theoretical texts dealing with madness. The author relies on the works of Foucault, Deleuze, and Goffman, in order to fully grasp the experience of madness. The article comes to analyze the syncretism of the novel as a political project : the hybrid form serves as a stepping stone for a political thought that tends towards an equality of discourses without attenuating their dissension.
