Er ist bunt, er ist schrill, er ist exzentrisch, und genauso sind auch seine Filme. Pedro Almodovars "Labyrinth der Leidenschaften" zeigte schon Anfang der achtziger Jahre die schillernde Subkultur Madrids. Doch einem größeren Publikum wurde der Regisseur erst durch sein Meisterwerk "Frauen am Rande des Nervenzusarnmenbruchs" (1987) bekannt, dessen Titel für die meisten seiner Filme verwendet werden konnte. Zum Beispiel fur "Feßle mich!" (1989): Ein gerade aus der Anstalt entlassener Psychopath entführt die Frau seiner Träume, eine Softpornodarstellerin. Er bindet sie zu Hause am Bett fest, damit sie sich später vielleicht in ihn verliebt. Das Objekt seiner Begierde reagiert unerwartet. Auch die Kosmetikerin Kika ist eine außergewöhnliche Frau. Als sie den Auftag erhält, die Leiche von Ramon (Alex Casanovas) für die Beerdigung zu schminken, quasselt sie solange von Gott und der Welt, bis der Scheintote erwacht. Die beiden werden ein Paar. Das hindert Kika jedoch nicht daran, mit dem Vater ihres Liebsten (Peter Coyote), seines Zeichens Schriftsteller des bedeutenden Werkes "Ein lesbischer Serienkiller", ein Verhältnis anzufangen. Und dann ist da noch Andrea (Victoria Abril), die Moderatorin der Reality TV Show "Das Schlimmste des Tages", die von einer Babymilchmarke gesponsert wird. Mit einer Kamera am Helm flitzt die Reporterin auf ihrem Motorrad durch Madrid, immer auf der Suche nach neuen Greueltaten. [...]
