Abstract:
Este artículo analiza la universidad occidentalizada y su fundamentalismo eurocéntrico en relación a las luchas de los grupos racializados en Estados Unidos y su impacto en la formación de los estudios étnicos al interior de la estructura epistémica de las universidades. De este modo, discute cuestiones relacionadas con el racismo/sexismo epistémico y los dilemas que los programas de estudios étnicos afrontan en la actualidad; particularmente, las formas de colonización disciplinaria, el multiculturalismo liberal y las políticas identitaristas (“identity politics”).
