Abstract:
Objective: The aim of the research is to examine the use of the “Hayat Eve Sığar” (HES) application developed by the Ministry of Health within the scope of combating COVID-19 and their views on the application.Methods: The study was carried out in Balıkesir, Bursa, Kocaeli and Malatya provinces with 524 people who could be reached face-to-face and agreed to participate in the research.Results: According to the findings, 65.5% of the participants were women, 66.2% were single and 64.1% were university graduates. It was observed that 86.8% of the participants knew the definition of the HES application, 74.6% followed the COVİD-19 vaccine information through the HES application, and 49.4% calculated the risk of COVİD-19 in the HES application. 66.6% of the participants think that the HES application has positive contributions to the fight against COVİD-19, and 62.2% of them stated that they avoid traveling to places where the risk is intense in practice. It has been concluded that there is a difference between the gender, educational status, marital status and age of the participants and their usage and knowledge levels about the HES application (p & lt;0,05).Conclusion: As a result of the study, it can be stated that the developed HEPP application has positive contributions to the fight against COVID-19. The use of developments in information technologies in the fight against epidemics has been evaluated as an important tool in achieving success.
