Content: Le Moyen Âge aimait les listes. En énumérant et en organisant les êtres et les choses, pour les gérer ou simplement pour les connaître, les listes médiévales éprouvaient la performativité de l'écriture dans une société où son usage restait restreint à une élite. Ces listes étaient une façon d'agir sur le monde, pas seulement une manière de se le représenter. La rédaction d'inventaires - de livres, de joyaux et d'outils -, de listes de serfs d'un domaine ou encore d'habitants d'une ville, comme l'utilisation littéraire d'énumérations inspirées de ces pratiques sociales, ont marqué la manière dont l'Europe médiévale a construit la relation entre hommes et objets dans la longue durée. Ce volume, deuxième volet d'un projet collectif consacré au « pouvoir des listes » au Moyen Âge, poursuit cette exploration anthropologique, rendue possible par la pratique de la mise en liste et la transmission de ces listes à l'intérieur des documents les plus divers. En confrontant les travaux de sociologues et d'anthropologues comme ceux de Bruno Latour ou Philippe Descola à la documentation médiévale, les auteurs révèlent la liste comme une forme singulière de domination sociopolitique et d'évaluation juridique et économique : elle lève le voile sur des relations entre humains et non-humains, entre sujets et objets, profondément différentes de celles qui se mettent en place avec la modernité

Content: Le 12 epistole di Dante Alighieri costituiscono un eccezionale documento sulla sua vita dopo il bando dalla città di Firenze (1302). Oltre al valore biografico, esse sono opere letterarie a tutto tondo, che spaziano dalla scrittura «di servizio» (nelle lettere redatte su commissione della moglie di Simone di Guido Guidi) all’autocommento (nelle epistole al marchese Malaspina e a Cino di Pistoia, che accompagnavano dei testi poetici) e al manifesto politico (soprattutto nelle cosiddette «arrighiane»). Questo volume è il primo dedicato alle lettere dantesche, e offre finalmente al lettore i risultati di due momenti di incontro e discussione sviluppati a Venezia, Università Ca’ Foscari, nel 2016 e 2017, nell’ambito di un progetto ERC BIFLOW. Più di 20 specialisti di diverse discipline (filologia, storia, letteratura) si sono misurati con questi testi, fornendone una interpretazione puntuale, sviluppando nuove letture, inserendoli nel contesto sociale e intellettuale del tempo, collocandoli nella tormentata biografia di Dante. Oggetto dell’interesse dei contributi è anche la sparuta, ma assai qualificata, tradizione manoscritta dei testi, che viene studiata tenendo presente sia gli illustri copisti (Giovanni Boccaccio; il notaio, poi vescovo, Francesco Piendibeni da Montepulciano) sia i contesti di trasmissione. Notevole spazio è anche dato alle competenze epistolografiche di Dante e al rapporto tra la sua scrittura e la tradizione del dictamen.
