The Inter-Library Loan Index
The German National Index includes the holdings of the six library networks in Germany. The data is updated regularly. The technical operation of the underlying Solr cloud application is being taken over by the BSZ.
The current release includes a revision of the simple search and now provides improved search results. In addition, the ranking algorithm has been improved.<)p>
With the German National Index the nationwide interlibrary loan is fully integrated into the KOBV portal respectively the BSZ-ILL portal. Compared to the previously used method (Metasearch Z39.50) the search is significantly faster, in addition users can filter their search results as usual through facets.
The German National Index is a project of the “AG der Verbundsysteme” and is being developed together by all German networks.
