(A) After exposure of HSCs to Ad.GFP-S11-NGFp a higher transduction rate was detected by GFP expression (green) using fluorescence microscopy compared to wild-type (wt) and S11 bound Ad.GFP. Simultaneous staining of p75NTR (red) on HSCs indicates NGFp based cell infection (40x). (B) Quantification of GFP positive cells revealed an infection efficiency of approximately 80% using Ad.GFP-S11-NGFp (**p<0.02). Magnified inserts are labeled as indicated (I–III).
