Until quite recently, no satisfactory solution existed to the problem of achieving an effective limitation of liability while maintaining a freelance company structure. Small wonder, then, that many freelancers went so far as to dodge this problem by adopting foreign legal forms, especially the Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) under English law.
