Shear relaxation of (NaCN)1x(KCN)x quadrupolar glasses

Abstract

Shear-torque experiments have been performed on (NaCN)1x(KCN)x mixed crystals, x=0.85, 0.45. The shear strain relaxation time follows an Arrhenius law. The results support recent molecular-dynamics simulations.
