Samenvatting

Op 19 april aanvaardde Marjolein Berger de leerstoel Huisartsgeneeskunde aan de Universiteit Groningen. In haar inaugurale rede bepleitte zij dat aan de huisartsgeneeskundige kernwaarden ‘continue en persoonlijke zorg’ ook de ‘epidemiologische kennis’ wordt toegevoegd. Alleen dan kan de huisarts zorg-op-maat verlenen tijdens een klachtenepisode. Onderstaand is het betreffende deel van de rede voor u samengevat.
