  17. During this period, total investment amounted to approximately US$5 billion, while reinvested profits amounted to approximately US$600 million. Loans granted or guaranteed by foreign parent companies to their subsidiaries in Croatia account for approximately US$2 billion.

  18. A total of 67.74 per cent of foreign investment in Croatia came from these three countries.

  19. These are investments in the telecommunications companies Croatian Telecom and VIPnet, banks and the pharmaceuticals company Pliva. These three sectors represent 61.82 per cent of all foreign direct investment.

  20. Total Croatian investments abroad only amount to US$550 million, out of which 91% went to the countries cited above.
