In der heutigen Bibelwissenschaft ist es Standard, textkritische Methoden hinsichtlich der Entstehungszeit und Autorenschaft von Bibelstellen ergebnisoffen zu gebrauchen. Erstmals wendet er die aus der Bibelwissenschaft bekannten textkritischen Methoden auf längere Passagen des Korans an und kommt zu neuen Ergebnis über die Autorenschaften des Korans. Biographical note: Karl-Friedrich Pohlmann, geb. 1941, war von 1981–2006 Professor für Altes Testament an der Evangelisch-theologischen Fakultät der Westfälischen Wilhelms-Universität Münster. Zahlreiche Veröffentlichungen zu den Prophetenbüchern des Alten Testaments.
