    Content: Junto a los hablantes tradicionales, las lenguas minorizadas cuentan con un nuevo perfil de hablante, conocido generalmente como neohablante. Este sujeto se caracteriza por haber aprendido la lengua minorizada fuera del ámbito familiar y de haber tomado, en algún momento de su vida, la decisión de hacer un uso extensivo de la misma. Este proceso, conocido como muda o conversión lingüística, supone un esperanzador aliciente para asegurar el presente y el futuro de muchas de las lenguas minorizadas. Dicho con otras palabras, dada la precaria situación de muchos de estos idiomas, la persona neohablante está llamada a ser un baluarte en la recuperación de usos, contribuyendo a la transformación de las desigualdades en las que los y las hablantes de estas lenguas sobreviven desde hace mucho tiempo. Este libro constituye la primera aproximación a la diversidad lingüística en el Estado español desde la perspectiva innovadora que la persona neohablante de lenguas minorizadas entraña. En él se encuentra una reflexión necesariamente crítica sobre la situación de neohablantes en País Vasco, Aragón, Cataluña y Galicia.La comparación de estos cuatro contextos permite cotejar las semejanzas y las diferencias, así como los retos, los desafíos y las oportunidades que supone abordar la situación sociolingüística de las lenguas minorizadas en el siglo XXI
