Experimentelle Abschluss- und Studienarbeiten stehen im Katalog neben textilen Produkten aus der Industrie und anderen Tätigkeitsbereichen des Textildesigns, die die Anwendung in der Serie präsentieren. Der zweisprachige Katalog (deutsch/englisch) beleuchtet anhand der übergreifenden Themen Tradition, Kulturtransfer, Farbe, Material, Technologie, Smart Textiles und Nachhaltigkeit die Faszination, Vielfalt und Komplexität textiler Werkstoffe. Dabei wird die interdisziplinäre Ausrichtung des Fachs Textildesigns deutlich: bei der Entwicklung von Stoffen wird stets deren Anwendbarkeit durch andere Disziplinen mitgedacht.
