Cato Bontjes van Beek (geboren 1920), aufgewachsen in einer Künstlerfamilie nahe Worpswede, schließt sich während des 2. Weltkrieges dem zum Widerstandsnetz "Rote Kapelle" zählenden Harro Schulze-Boysen an, wird 1942 verhaftet und im August 1943 in Berlin-Plötzensee hingerichtet. Vinke (Deutscher Jugendbuchpreis 1981 mit "Das kurze Leben der Sophie Scholl", hier zuletzt BA 1/88) hat anhand von Tagebuchaufzeichnungen, Interviews mit Verwandten, erhaltenen Kassibern, Briefen und anderen Quellen neuesten Datums ein bewegendes Porträt der jungen Frau geschaffen. Warum erinnert man sich ihrer, im Gegensatz zu Sophie Scholl, heute kaum noch? Vinkes eindrückliche Auseinandersetzung mit sich im Kalten Krieg verfestigenden Deutungsmustern zur "Roten Kapelle" als einer im Dienst der Sowjetunion stehenden Spionageorganisation, wonach deren Mitglieder eher als Landesverräter denn als Opfer des Nazi-Terrors galten, erklärt, warum C. Bontjes van Beek als Widerstandskämpferin fast in Vergessenheit geriet. Notwendige neuere Biografie, lesenswert auch für Jugendliche; künftig vor H. Kluge (vgl. BA 10/94). (1 J,S)
