Content: Andrzej Titkow is a poet, director, author of screenplays and theatre plays. His work includes not only documentaries but also features made for television and cinema. Literature and cinema, poetry and film intertwine in his work in various ways. The most obvious one concerns the themes of his films, among which portraits, essays and studies of people of letters are in a majority. Therefore no review of Titkow's work aspiring to be representative could dispense with such titles as "Przechodzien'" (1984, about Tadeusz Konwicki)... The behind-the-scenes of Tadeusz Konwicki's film portrait of could in itself provide material for another film story. After all, that was the decade of the martial law, the Orwellian 1984, while Titkow makes - in broad daylight and legally - a film about an author whose novels are published in the underground or appear in emigration publications; the author himself is probably the last man of letters the then authority would have liked to see on cinema screens. Content: The process of creating Polish hip-hop group Paktofonika, its highs and lows and very last days of life of its frontman and co-founder Piotr (Magik) Luszcz. "To be a young rapper means being an artist. And when an artist thinks he is god, the world is not enough. When Magik (Marcin Kowalczyk), Fokus (Tomasz Schuchardt) and Rahim (Dawid Ogrodnik) speak, they make mistakes, confuse words, mispronounce. But when they start to rap, it becomes the most natural thing in the world. Making music, going with the flow with words and rhymes is the essence of their lives. They turn their personal issues and experiences into lyrics. As long as they can express themselves through music, everything else falls into place. Through their music they give vent to anger, disappointment and fear. The reality seems at times cruel for the members of legendary band Paktofonika. Fokus is struggling with finishing high school, or rather not being kicked out of one. Rahim has to deal with a tough physical job. Magik faces responsibilities of unexpectedly becoming a husband and a father. For young guys as they are it all may overwhelm. Yet, the truth is their hardships aren't convincing. After all, they come from normal families. Like in all normal families, they have financial problems, but apart from that, the movie presents them as quite regular. Content: "Gryczelowska, Kamien'ska and Halladin are three great individualities of the Polish Documentary School. Each of them, disparately, paints a vision of Poland in the 60s, 70s and 80s.
