Der Kupferstich ist ein Portrait des Kardinals Albrecht von Brandenburg mit Monogramm "AD". Diesen Kupferstich, den sogenannten "Kleinen Kardinal", schuf Albrecht Dürer 1519, nach einer Vorzeichnung, die er während des Reichstages von Augsburg, an dem Albrecht von Brandenburg teilnahm, 1518 angefertigt hatte
