As suggested by Evans, this almanac is spurious in purporting to be the work of Nehemiah Strong. The actual calculator was Nathan Daboll. The calendar pages, and the eclipse predictions (p. [2]) are identical with those in Daboll's The New-England almanac and gentlemen and ladies diary, enlarged, for 1798 (New London)

However, the page entitled "Variations of sun and clock," which is characteristic of Strong's almanacs, is not found in Daboll, and appears to have been adapted from that in Strong's Astronomical diary, calendar, or almanack for 1798 (Hartford : Elisha Babcock), most of the calculations being identical. There is no other resemblance to Strong's almanac
