Robert Musils Roman »Der Mann ohne Eigenschaften« als Seismograph und Explikation wissens- und geschlechtergeschichtlichen Wandels. Diese Forschungshypothese ermöglicht nicht nur einen neuen Blick auf den epochalen Roman, sondern auch auf die Veränderungen der Wissens- und Geschlechterordnung im frühen 20. Jahrhundert. Dabei wird anhand von Musils Schrift einerseits die Präsenz von Wissens- und Geschlechterordnungen in der Literatur und andererseits die konstitutive Funktion literarischer Darstellungsformen für diese Ordnungen selbst aufgezeigt.
