Feminism and the Classroom Teacher undertakes a feminist analysis of the work and everyday realities of the schoolteacher, providing evidence that feminism is still relevant as a way of thinking about the social world and as a lived reality. The authors draw on a wide range of material to illustrate the histories, relationships and possible futures of feminism and teaching. The book illustrates the different layers of teachers work and examines the intellectual and practical contingencies of the classroom context through feminist analysis.
