    ISBN: 1000022233

    Format: 1 electronic resource (IV, 244 p. p.)
    ISBN: 1000022232
Content: The general objective of this thesis was to explore the potential of in-situ H2O removal during fuel-related synthesis reactions with focus on in-situ H2O removal by hydrophilic membranes and by chemical reaction. It is demonstrated that in-situ H2O removal through vapour permeation during CO2 hydrogenation to Fischer-Tropsch hydrocarbons and during DME/DEE synthesis leads to increased conversion and yield levels, which are directly linked to the degree of H2O recovery.

Series Statement: Experimental Condensed Matter Physics / Karlsruher Institut für Technologie, Physikalisches Institut
Content: The results of the research re-ported in this work show that tunable gap flux qubits have a potential for building quantum registers. Cavities coupled to flux qubits can be used for in-formation storage and transfer between qubits. SFS π-shifters provide a simple approach to bias multi-qubit circuits. A possibility to change the qubit resonance frequency while preserving qubit coherence enables implementation of switchable coupling between qubits and cavities.
