    Inhalt: In this book an efficient algorithm for estimating dense motion vector fields between different views of a scene is presented. The approach combines geometric constraints between two views of a static scene with a model to describe the apparent motion in the image plane. The estimation is performed using a maximum-a-posteriori-method yielding reliable results, which is demonstrated using challenging real world image sequences.

    Inhalt: In many branches of technology is a need for mechanisms with minimum friction and minimum bearing play. Such mechanisms are neither feasible with conventional hinges nor with hinges from the micro- and nanopositioning. This thesis proposes novel hinges in order to bridge the gap between the precision of micropositioning and the workspace of applications in manufacturing. The proposed implementations are flexure hinges for large displacements and dry slide bearings with friction reduction.

    Inhalt: In the present study, the grain size of various PZT ceramics was varied in a range between 300 nm and 10 microns to study their dielectric, piezoelectric and electromechanical behaviour. The performed microstructural analyzes and crystal structure studies show a significant impact of the grain size on the ferroelectric domain size and structure. As a result of this study a model for the influence of grain size on the properties of the PZT ceramics could be derived.
