Series Statement: Spektrum der Lichttechnik / Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT), Lichttechnisches Institut
Content: This book describes a systematical method to efficiently and homogeneously mix rays of different coloured Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) in both the angular and spatial domain. The focus of this work is the application of chaotic billiard geometries on the cross section of a light guide. Such a chaotic light guide offers the possibility to achieve complete colour mixing according to deterministic chaos theory.

    Format: 1 electronic resource (XIV, 130 p. p.)
    ISBN: 1000051743
Series Statement: Karlsruher Schriftenreihe Fahrzeugsystemtechnik / Institut für Fahrzeugsystemtechnik
Content: Energy management strategies are developed for hybrid drive systems in which multiple actuators are interacting with an accumulator. The strategies are derived using a universal approach for efficiency assessment of control decisions. Therefore the accumulator’s power flow is weighted by its impact onto the internal combustion engine. Experimental studies with a telescopic handler show up to 10% of measured fuel savings.
