Durante su primera expedición en América del Sur, iniciada en Argentina en 1892, el investigador alemán Max Uhle (1856-1944) registró en sus agendas de viaje datos de gran interés para el estudio del material arqueológico procedente del Área Surandina. En nuestra investigación, dichos datos han sido de valor para la identificación y localización de instrumentos musicales pre-hispánicos del Noroeste de Argentina.

During his first expedition to South America, initiated in Argentina in 1892, the German researcher Max Uhle (1856-1944) recorded in his travel notebooks extensive data of considerable importance for the study of archaeological materials from the Southern Andean region. Within our research, this data has been of great value for the identification and localization of Pre-Hispanic musical instruments found in Northeast Argentina.
