Se analiza el registro fonográfico de música popular e indígena realizado por el antropólogo alemán Robert Lehmann-Nitsche (1872-1938), jefe del Departamento de Antropología del Museo de La Plata (Argentina). Se examina principalmente la incorporación de nuevas tecnologías en los procesos de recolección de datos y la inserción de los registros fonográficos en los proyectos de cartografía musical llevados adelante por el Phonogramm-Archiv de Berlín.

This paper discusses the phonographic recordings of popular and indigenousmusic made by the German anthropologist Robert Lehmann-Nitsche (1872-1938), head of the Museum de La Plata’s Department of Anthropology in Argentina. The paper examines the incorporation of new technologies in data collection processes and the inclusion of Lehmann-Nitsche’s research in the musical cartography projects carried out by the Berlin Phonogramm-Archiv.
