Erste enth. Schrift ist die Antwort des brandenburgischen Kurfürsten auf eine kaiserliche Verfügung vom April 1699. Es erfolgt eine Feststellung der bisher gültigen (verbrieften) Rechte der Äbtissin und ihrer ungerechtfertigten Klagen. Der Kurfürst rechtfertigt und bekräftigt seine Befugnisse besonders in Bezug auf die Stadt Quedlinburg. Im Anhang finden sich einige Zeugenberichte, frühere Rezesse sowie mehrere Schreiben, die die Streitigkeiten um die Einsetzung des Superintendenten Meyer (1698/99) betreffen. Die zweite enth. Schrift vom Juli 1699 ist die Antwort der Äbtissin auf das kurfürstliche Schreiben, gerichtet an den Kaiser. Darin widerlegt sie einige der in erstgenannter Schrift vorgebrachten Äußerungen bzw. Anschuldigungen und bringt ihre Ablehnung der Anerkennung der brandenburgischen Landesherrschaft zum Ausdruck. Sie besteht auf den dem Stift seit Jahrhunderten zustehenden Rechten, so z.B. bei der Bestätigung des Magistrates der Stadt Quedlinburg. Außerdem beschwerdt sie sich über die Einführung der Akzise. Ausdrücklich betont und bekräftigt sie den Reichsstand ihres Stiftes. Als Anhang werden einige Briefe und Rezesse sowie Zeugenaussagen angeführt (Zeitraum 1630-99).
