In dieser hervorragenden Analyse der Ereignisse um den 20. Juli 1944 ist es Schramm gelungen, ein Bild zu zeichnen, das die innere Geschichte der Opposition gegen Hitler bis hin zur Konspiration klar zeigt. Da in Frankreich die Vernichtung der Hauptbeteiligten und vieler Zeugen nicht so brutal gelang wie im Deutschen Reich, konnte der Autor noch direkte Aussagen von Eingeweihten auswerten. (MOD)
