Angefangen hat alles damit, daß ich mir überlegte, ob solche Wendungen wie offen gesagt, nebenbei bemerkt, kurz gesagt usw. nicht ganz bestimmte Sprechakttypen sind, die eine eigene Art der Sprachverwendung kennzeichnen, und zwar eine, die weder mit dem assertiven noch mit dem direktiven, expressiven, kommissiven oder deklarativen Sprachgebrauch gleichzusetzen ist. Mir schwebte dabei so etwas wie eine Klasse reflexiver Sprechakttypen vor, die eventuell den eben erwähnten hinzuzufügen wäre. Bei näherer Betrachtung einzelner Elemente des reflexiven Sprachgebrauchs stellte sich jedoch zweierlei heraus. Erstens, daß Ausdrucke wie genauer gesagt, vage formuliert usw. als eine bestimmte Form des metakommunikativen Sprachgebrauchs einzuschätzen sind, als Bezugnahmen des Sprechers auf das von ihm selbst Gesagte, mit einem Wort, als Diktumscharakterisierungen. Und zweitens: Wer das Diktum als so oder so charakterisiert, bringt nicht nur zum Ausdruck, daß er seinen Sprachgebrauch kritisch betrachtet; indem er das tut, sagt er, was der Fall ist. D.h., er realisiert weder eine Aufforderung noch gibt er ein Versprechen noch eine Erklärung ab usw.; als Manifestationen des reflexiven Sprachgebrauchs sind diktumscharakterisierenden Ausdrücke vielmehr dem informationalen (bzw. assertiven) Sprachgebrauch zuzurechnen
