Europa denken", 2015) haben die beiden Herausgeber ihre Gespräche über Europa fortgesetzt, dieses Mal in Israel mit mehr als 100 Menschen. Der Band enthält 24 ausführliche Interviews, die sie zwischen 2015 und 2018 dort mit Holocaust-Überlebenden, aus verschiedenen Regionen Europas stammend, und mit Angehörigen der Zweiten und Dritten Generation führten. Thematisiert werden das Ankommen und Leben im Land, Spannungsfelder, die den Alltag prägen, gesellschaftliche Debatten und politische Konflikte, der Blick und Rückblick auf Europa. Mit einer Auswahlbibliografie und einem Register im Anhang. - Das Buch mit seinen fast 700 Seiten, zahlreichen Abbildungen, bietet reichhaltigen Lesestoff. Ergänzt wird der Band von einem Beitrag des Historikers Dan Diner über den israelisch-palästinensischen Konflikt und Fotografien des ehemals arabischen Viertels Wadi Salib in Haifa von Samantha Font-Sala.
