Über die Sprache haben wir Menschen teil an der schöpferischen Kraft der Phantasie. Sie ist im Märchen geheimnisvoll bewahrt, vermag zu verzaubern und Magisches zu bewirken. Märchen erzählen von einer Zeit, als die Tiere, Pflanzen und selbst die Dinge noch sprachen und dem Märchenmenschen auf seinem Weg mit ihrem Wissen half. Der Magie der Märchensprache begegnen wir in ihren Zauberformeln und erleben das Märchen als sprachliches Kunstwerk. Von besonderer Bedeutung sind im Märchen auch die Orte, an die der Held auf seiner Suchwanderung gelangt. So erzählen viele Volksmärchen von Traumhäusern, in denen neuer Lebensmut zuwächst, manchmal aber auch von Wolkenschlössern, in denen der Verlust der eigenen Identität droht.
