Vorgestellt werden hier 25 besondere Kinder in Form von Steckbriefen und charakteristischen Illustrationen anhand ihrer Vorlieben und Abneigungen. Erst danach wird der Beeinträchtigung (u.a. Autismus, Epilepsie, Stottern) ein Name gegeben. In kurzen Sätzen wird erklärt, wo die jeweilige Einschränkung her kommt und ob sie wieder weggehen kann. Charakterisiert werden auch persönliche Eigenarten wie Angeberei, Schüchternheit und Bildschirmsucht. Der Titel vermittelt Vielfalt und fördert Toleranz, indem er zeigt, dass Betroffene Eigenarten und Vorlieben haben, mit denen sich jeder identifizieren kann und gibt Tipps, welche Aktionen gemeinsam erlebt werden können und was tabu ist. Wertvoll sind auch die Hinweise zu den Vor- und Nachteilen der Behinderungen. Das gedrungene Schriftbild wirkt zunächst erschlagend, lädt geübte Leser aber bald zum Entdecken des Geheimwissens oder ergänzender Erklärungen ein. Im Anhang befindet sich eine kopierbare Mitmach-Seite zum Kennenlernen der Braille-Schrift sowie ein ausfüllbarer Steckbrief.
