Content: In this book the motet lyrics of Philipthe Chancellor (ca. 1165-1236) are subjected to critical editing, translation and comment. While the lyrics treated in the first part can certainly or in all probability be credited to Philip, the second part is devoted to poems in which the assignation is disputed.
