Content: Die Aufgabe der HTU war und ist es bis heute, die Studentinnen und Studenten gegenüber dem Staat und der Universität bestmöglich zu vertreten. Neben dem politischen Engagement kümmert sich die HTU ebenso um studentische Alltagsprobleme. Seit ihrer Gründung sind die Aufgaben immer weiter gewachsen – und die HTU mit ihr. Die Zahl der Referate ist von einigen wenigen auf 12 gestiegen. Neben den Referaten wurden auch Fonds eingerichtet, welche die Studentinnen und Studenten in schwierigen Lebenslagen finanziell unterstützen sollen. Außerdem organisiert die HTU Projekte, wie zum Beispiel „unibrennt“, den „Monat der freien Bildung“ und „FuTUre“.
