So entsteht ein lebendiges, facettenreiches Bild des vielseitig interessierten und tätigen Menschen, des unvergleichlichen Universalgenies, in seinem Streben, mit seinen Widersprüchen. Mit vielen Zitaten, 3 Porträts, Zeittafel, Quellenverzeichnis, Bibliografie. Waldtraut Lewins vom Verlag seinerzeit als "Pop"-Biografie präsentiertes Werk (BA 11/04) ist leichter lesbar und früher einsetzbar als diese inhaltlich und gedanklich sehr konzentrierte Arbeit von Pelz. Für Jugendliche ab 14/15 wie für Erwachsene empfohlen. Auch für Schulbibliotheken.
