Wir sehen die Königin in pompösen Kleidern, in Gummistiefeln, Twinsets, Wachsjacken und Schottenröcken. Die Autorin geht respektvoll mit der beliebten und betagten Königin um, wird hie und da aber auch launig. Wir lesen von der königlichen Ankleiderin, von den 200 Handtaschen der Queen, von den versteckten Botschaften, die sie mit der Kleidung und ihrem Schmuck sendet. - Der kleine Bildband stellt sehr schöne Fotos ihrer Regentschaft zusammen. Das Buch ist eine interessante Mischung aus Zeit-, Mode- und Kulturgeschichte. Es ist sein Geld allemal wert.
