Von Adornos zunächst künstlerischen Ambitionen ausgehend beleuchtet der Band eine wesentliche Dimension von Adornos musikalischem Denken, indem er sein kompositorisches Schaffen in den Blick rückt: die Liederzyklen und die Werke für Streicher, die Klavierstücke und Orchesterwerke.
