Pinguin Gordon und Tapir sind Freunde und teilen sich eine Wohnung. Das führt zu einigen Verstimmungen auf beiden Seiten, denn Tapir ist ein totaler Chaot und Gordon ein ausgesprochener Pedant. Die leere Klopapierrolle ist Anlass und Auslöser eines heftigen Streits, bei dem Gordon seinem Freund die Leviten liest. Der lässt sich das nicht gefallen und hält dem Pinguin einen Spiegel vor, was ihm an dessen Lebensweise stört. Und dann? Sebastian Meschenmoser treibt die Auseinandersetzung zwischen den so unterschiedlichen Freunden auf die Spitze. In seinen kolorierten Zeichnungen lässt sich das wuchernde Chaos von Tapir bewundern und die sterile Aufgeräumtheit des Pinguins. Die Lösung sieht anders aus als in den meisten Bilderbüchern, wo die Freunde Kompromisse eingehen und sich zusammenraufen, wie z.B. "Herr Hase und Frau Bär" (BA 9/08). Gordon zieht aus. Das Tolle ist: Die beiden bleiben Freunde und besuchen sich gegenseitig. Ein herzerfrischendes, unkonventionelles Bilderbuch über 2 Individualisten, die für ihr Problem die richtige Lösung finden.
