In einer Fußnote zu seinem Buch "Funktion der Religion" diagnostiziert NIKLAS LUHMANN "Widersprüche zwischen der Logik des Geldes und der Logik des Glaubens"1. Allerdings, so scheint es mir, ortet LUHMANN die Widersprüche - er spricht sogar von "gänzlich ungelösten Problemen" - in einem für ihren Nachweis nicht hinreichend schlüssigen Kontext, nämlich im religiösen Gebot der Nächstenliebe. "Die Rationalität des Umgangs mit Geld beruht auf der Disposition nach individuell verschiedenen Präferenzen und widerspricht der kirchlich verkündeten Religion der Nächstenliebe . . . ; denn im Geldsystem kann der Geldgeber nur rational handeln, wenn er seine Bedürfnisse mit denen anderer vergleicht und andere Geldquellen mit in Betracht zieht. Knappheit wird durch Geld so hoch aggregiert und so vielen Vergleichsmöglichkeiten ausgesetzt, daß eine Religion, die Geldgeben fordert, unökonomisches Verhalten fordern muß"2. Ich frage mich, ob hier nicht eine Engführung des Rationalitatsbegriffs in bezug auf das Geld und den Umgang mit ihm vorliegt: Rational = ökonomisch? Rationalität mag es immer nur innerhalb eines abgrenzbaren Referenzrahmens geben
