Der Bedarf an flexiblen Arbeitszeitmodellen nimmt in Deutschland vor dem Hintergrund der aktuellen volkswirtschaftlichen und demographischen Entwicklung stetig zu. Für Arbeitgeber besteht seit dem 1. Januar 2009 die gesetzliche Verpflichtung, Zeitwertguthaben ihrer Arbeitnehmer gemäß § 7e Sozialgesetzbuch IV (SGB IV) gegen Insolvenz zu sichern. Damit besteht nunmehr eine weitere gesetzliche Vorgabe neben der bereits seit mehreren Jahren geltenden gesetzlichen Pflicht, Altersteilzeitguthaben gemäß § 8a Altersteilzeitgesetz (AltTZG) gegen Insolvenz zu sichern. Der Gesetzgeber hat offen gelassen, wie diese gesetzlich vorgeschriebene Insolvenzsicherung durchgeführt werden soll. Dieses Buch soll auf der Grundlage einer dogmatischen Aufarbeitung einen Überblick über die Möglichkeiten der Insolvenzsicherung und deren Umsetzung in der Praxis vermitteln.
