Der studentische Freundeskreis der Weißen Rose in München war bisher namentlich nur unter den noch lebenden Zeitzeugen im Verständnis der oral history bekannt. Für die historische, politisch-aktuelle und mitmenschliche Aufarbeitung durch heutige Generationen ist es bedeutsam, der Frage nachzugehen, ob die Mitglieder der Weißen Rose bei namentlich bekannten Mitstudentinnen und Mitstudenten Gesprächskontakte und geistige Freundschaft erlebten, die ihre Widerstandsaktivitäten mittrugen, beziehungsweise zumindest innerlich unterstützten. Deshalb ist es angebracht, innerhalb der heutigen Möglichkeiten zu versuchen, Persönlichkeiten aus der studentischen Umgebung namhaft zu machen, mit denen einzelne Mitglieder der Weißen Rose nachweislich geistige Kommunikation erlebten. Wie sich studentisches Vertrautsein und geistige Verbindung darstellen, wurde unter Verwendung heute vorhandener Originalbriefe und Tagebuchauszüge aus der Zeit 1939-1945 und aus Briefen der Rückerinnerung von Betroffenen 1990 bearbeitet.
