Die Studie untersucht die Schweigepflicht des Arztes und dessen Offenbarungspflicht. Unter diesem Aspekt wird die deutsche Rechtslage mit derjenigen in Korea verglichen. Das Buch gliedert sich in fünf Teile: Im ersten Teil geht es um die Rechtsgrundlagen der ärztlichen Schweigepflicht und um deren Normzwecke in Deutschland und in Korea. Der zweite Teil behandelt die Konkretisierung des Tatbestandes der Verletzung von Privatgeheimnissen. Zentral ist der dritte Teil zu den Möglichkeiten einer Rechtfertigung der Geheimnisoffenbarung. Der vierte und der fünfte Teil sind den zivilrechtlichen Grundlagen und den Rechtsfolgen der Verletzung der Schweigepflicht sowie der Haftungsproblematik gewidmet.
