"Gehört die Türkei zu Europa?" ist eine Frage, die seit ca. zehn Jahren aus vielen akademischen Perspektiven untersucht wird. Das vorliegende Buch rekonstruiert einerseits den langen Prozess der Beziehunen EU-Türkei seit der Zollunion und analysiert andererseits den akademischen und öffentlich-politischen Türkei-Diskurs in Europa insbesondere hinsichtlich der Frage einer europäischen Identität. Es widmet sich gleichwohl aktuellen Entwicklungen der Beziehungen EU-Türkei und fragt vor dem Hintergrund des sogenannten "Horizonten 2023" nach den Herausforderungen, die sowohl der EU als auch der Türkei bevorstehen.?
