Irritationen sind das Salz des Denkens und das Movens des Handelns. Im schulischen Alltag werden sie gegenwärtig häufig als Zumutung empfunden. Wie zeigen sie sich überhaupt? Wie kann man ihnen Raum geben, ohne sie zu instrumentalisieren? Und unter welchen Bedingungen können Irritationen produktiv und bildungsrelevant werden? Zentrale Fragen des vorliegenden Bandes sind, wie ein „irritationsfreundlicher“ Fachunterricht zu denken sein könnte, wie Irritationen dort eingebunden werden und wie sie zum Gegenstand didaktischer Reflexionen werden können. Die hier versammelten Beiträge geben sowohl Antworten aus bildungs- und erfahrungstheoretischer Perspektive als auch in Form empirischer Studien aus den Fachdidaktiken Biologie, Kunst, Sport und Theater.
