Ebenso aufschluss- wie abwechslungsreiche Kompilation zu Werk und Leben der zu ihrer Zeit durchaus beachteten, heute aber zu Unrecht fast vergessenen Lyrikerin Mascha Kaléko. Grandios vorgestellt von Gisela Zoch-Westphal und Gerd Wameling. Die 1907 als Tochter jüdischer Eltern in Galizien geborene und 1975 in Zürich gestorbene Lyrikerin Mascha Kaléko wird heutzutage kaum jemand mehr kennen. Als ihre Gedichte aber von 1930 an in den Feuilletons zweier Berliner Zeitungen erschienen, gelangte sie schnell zu einiger Berühmtheit. Von namhaften Größen wie Hermann Hesse und Thomas Mann wurde sie als Großstadtdichterin gerühmt, andere verglichen ihre klare, strukturell konventionelle, aber pointierte Lyrik - nicht ganz unzutreffend - mit jener Joachim Ringelnatz'. 1938 emigrierte sie in die USA und zog dann 1960 nach Israel. Das vorliegende Hörbuch stellt auf ebenso aufschluss- wie abwechslungsreiche Weise Leben und Werk der Dichterin vor. Gisela Zoch-Westphal, die das Werk seit dem Tod der Autorin betreut, liest Kalékos Verse mit passender Getragenheit. Von Zoch-Westphal verfasste Texte zu Leben und Werk Kalékos trägt kongenial Gerd Wameling vor. Zudem finden sich einige beeindruckende Originalaufnahmen der Dichterin sowie von Hanne Wieder gesungene Chansons auf Kaléko-Texte. Eine gelungene Hommage. Breit empfohlen.
