"Alles möchte ich immer" - mit diesem Satz brachte Franziska zu Reventlow Gleichzeitigkeit und Unvereinbarkeit ihrer Wünsche an das Leben auf eine prägnante Formel. 1871 in Husum geboren, wurde sie Lehrerin, überwarf sich 1893 mit Eltern und ging - nach kurzer Ehe - nach München, wo sie um 1900 eine zentrale Figur in der Münchner Kunstszene war. Der intellektuelle Künstlerkreis inspirierte Reventlow zu ihrem ironisch-humoristischen Romanen. 1910 verließ sie Süddeutschland, um sich in Ascona niederzulassen und dort ihre "Schwabinger-Romane" zu schreiben. "Alles möchte ich immer" ist auch der Titel der großen Ausstellung über die "Schwabinger Gräfin", die 2010/11 in Lübeck, Kiel, Husum, Berlin und München gezeigt wird. Der Begleitband behandelt die prägenden Jahre der "Skandalgräfin" in Husum und Lübeck, ihren radikalenLebensentwurf als Künstlerin und ihre Verbindung zu Künstlernetzwerken in München ebenso wie ihr schriftstellerisches Werk.
